Hi all. Well, tomorrow I am flying to Indiana with my son to see aunts, uncles and cousins I haven't seen in years. They've never met my son, so this is an important trip to me. I'm also feeling anxious about it. The acupuncture seems to have really quieted my Meniere's symptoms, but with flying and stress of travel, etc. I'm still nervous. Also, I was diagnosed just recently with hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's), Adrenal Insufficiency, and severe anemia. They are causing symptoms such as severe lightheadedness when I stand up, alternating high and low blood pressure, elevated heart rate, and extreme tiredness. These are minor things to deal with relative to Meniere's. I just can't help but wonder at the timing...just when for the first time I seem to have found a solution for my Meniere's symptoms, I come up with these other diagnoses. Meniere's is on some lists as an autoimmune disorder, and I do have Ulcerative Colitis. Apparently once you get one autoimmune disease you are prone to others. Seems my autoimmune system is going haywire! I have been feeling so weird lately, I can't get excited or rush at all or my blood pressure goes up and then afterwards I crash. And I'm having to eat an amazingly restricted diet to support my immune system. It's 10:30 at night and I haven't even brought my self to pack yet. It was all I could do today to get my dogs to their pet sitters and go to the pharmacy. How am I ever going to manage this trip? I so anxious...I just hope everything goes okay and I'm up to it all. In my heart I know I'll just do my best and that will have to be good enough, but in my brain I'm a little freaked out.
