Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
How often are the steroid injections to the ear recommended. My former
ENY suggested once every two weeks or so and my new ENT said she does it every 3-6 months. I have been getting them every 4-6 weeks for six months and they have not helped at all. In fact I feel much worse after the treatments. Just wondering how often you guys get them or how often you have had them recommeded. Txs: curlergirl.

There is some debate over how often to give these shots. My doctor said that if I didnt get some positive results after the three shots then it wasnt worth doing more. The reason for this decision is that he feels the meniere's is comming from some other reason outside of autoimune or infection.
