Yes we have many of same symptoms,If i do any thing that i have to do for any thing to long of time ,just like your talking to some one for to long I get dizzy don ' t no why, I never drive to long may be 15 min. Just another thing we have to deal with. Some time just standing in line to long it happens. Wish some one would come up with something to help.I live on my nerve pills this is no way to live ,being scared all the time. My head all ways feels funny. Thanks Squarely, I am doing my best here at work. I was just telling my daughter that I really need to get on disability. It's awful working this way! And I totally understand what you mean about being scared, you just never know what is going to happen and when! I finally came off my "nerve" pills. I am going on on day three of being off them completly. My anxiety is managable. To me, thats a huge step! Sad thing is, that getting off all this medication was suppose to improve my way of life! NO DIFFERENCE! So like I keep saying, "back to the drawing board!" God Bless!

Good luck with the disability thing. You have to be almost dead before they will except that as a claim. Believe me, I tried. Read this:

I sometimes wonder if I am just getting use to having the vertigo, friends that know me that are aware of the MD say I walk like I am drunk sometimes, and I guess that I don't really feel that bad compared to some days, which puzzles me. I know that I still feel the effects of bad vertigo on days. But the vertigo seems to be more and more a daily event for me. But I am finding that I don't seem to feel the stomach upset that i use to. Do some of you get this or is it just me?

Sometimes for me, it's more about stopping when I'm driving because my brain keeps telling me I should be moving. It took me two years to get disability and I did not need an attorney. I jumped through all of the hoops: various kinds of treatment, vestibular therapy, surgery..and nothing helped. Fortunately for me, my doctor is renounded and the judge knew that he wasn't one to sign off on disability on a regular basis. I don't venture too far from my home. All of us have triggers, and driving is one of many I try to avoid. Hang in there & enjoy the days when you do feel "normal."

I know how you feel Catalinav. Although I try to avoid driving when I'm feeling unwell, sometimes I start the journey feeling okay and then start to feel dizzy before I get to my destination. Luckily, it doesn't happen suddenly like that very often - I normally have other symptoms first so I know what's coming!

Thank you all, yes I was able to stay at work, I was just shaky the rest of the day, and just tried to relax as much as I could. I have just learned what works to get me through it when times get tough.

Sometimes I feel better when I ride in the car. Sometimes movement helps me. It might be because your coming off meds to, your dizzy. I hope you feel better soon!...Hugs!

Catalinav Just wondering how your feeling. Any thing getting better? I am still having ring and pressure in my ears and of course dizziness,have coming off your meds. helped? I take xanx and would love to come off that , but every time i try I get worse. Sending hugs your way, Squarley

It seems as though it has been a rough month or so for many of us. Do any of you feel like the weather or barometric pressure affect your symptoms at all? For a good couple of months I was feeling fantastic and starting to feel like the worse was behind me....almost back to my old self. One weekend, we got a pretty good cool down and the humidity dropped and within a few days...the pressure and worse ringing was back in my right ear. My hearing went down again as well, then the dizzy spells started up again. I had the injections into my inner ear and that made it a million times worse for me. That was a little over 3 weeks ago and it's still bad for me. I had discussed with my Dr. about going on disability as I cannot work without needing to leave due to be dizzy all the time. he told me he felt confident that this procedure would work...etc... he also informed me that I would have to give up my drivers license if that is what I chose to do. I already feel like a prisoner with this disease and can't imagine not neing able to just go when I want to. But then I think...I'm already scared to really drive anywhere. It's a double edge sword. I cannot wait for the day where they can find a cure for this as it seems there are so many of us affected by it. It's easy for someone to say be positive, when they are not going through this. Feels as though life is stripped away from me just a little at a time.
