Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

Sensation in head

Just had to ask, before an attack do any of you get a strange sensation in your head. I get tingling on the crown of my head and a knot in the lower part of the back of my head. I just prepare for it to come on, I dont get this always just sometimes.

No, for me it's extra loud tinnitus and my eyes start dancing.

I usually don't get any warning at all...it will just hit me. I just try to fight it and hope it doesn't last long.

I usually get some feeling of fullness and then a sharp pain in the head. Confusion and Nausia are next, then I best be looking for a chair or sit in my walker take my meds I then feel like Im comming down but exhased. That is if the meds work which isnt allways.

Sometimes I will hear the ringing in my ears, but the ringing doesn,t always to to an attack. Other times I get a tingling all over my body just before the attack. Sometimes there is no warning. This disease is unlike most, and is sometimes unpredictable. As hard as it is to go through this, we just can't let it beat us.

Yes, I do. It starts at the top of my head and then spreads throughout my body. My scalp gets very tight (can't even massage my temples or forehead) then it feels like the blood is draining from my head and progresses downward. That's when I know I have to hug a pillow or lay down. Hope you are doing better my friend. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this site but, not new to Meniere's Disease. I can always tell that I will be going for a ride as soon as my eyes start to bobble and inside my head feels itchy or the back of my neck starts to ache.
