Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

Its being a long time since I was here. Next month will be a year since I receive the hearing aid and all is well. I have no issue with the hearing aid, it works wonders to me. I had to see my ENT one year later which was a few months ago to do the VNG over and do a Echo also, because I had major surgery and is recovering I did not get the result yet. She is testing my second ear which is my left ear to see if it is moving in that direction. I also have to do a ring eval and programing in a few weeks also.
I do get sick but not as bad as before and do wonder if I truly have MD, but I have some signs that shows that I do have it. E.g I am losing the ability to say where sounds are coming from and the ringing goes loud sometimes but my ear always rings. But every now and then I have the dizzy spells, nauseous and balance issues, which decreases a lot. I do have the hearing loss which now seemed to be steady she said all across it shows that I have mild hearing loss last year it was moderate to mild. hearing loss. One thing that I changed was the exercising, once I stop completely even the everyday going up the stairs my MD slow down. I think that was my biggest issue. I do eat some salt every now and then but I do not ever cook with salt. The food that I buys have some salt. I still both my jobs. I had to get adjusted to the hearing loss and the hearing aid, but now am ready for a pink hearing aid, lol. I have pause doing sign language because I did a major surgery and my tutor moved on. She said i am ready for classes not one on one. But once I recover and goes back to work I am going to get another tutor.
So one year later am still doing good in a way. Thanking God for that. Hope all is well.

It's been awhile since I have been on here too. I have a hearing aid as well. Only in my left ear and I have also gone bilateral and I am loosing my hearing in both ears... :( I can't wear an aid in my right ear because of the tinnitus the aid causes it to worsen and I get a migraine. I wish I had known that when I purchased my aids I would have bought just one and saved 1000. dollars. Oh well such is life. So glad you are doing well hugs!
How long are you wearing your hearing aid? Did you or do you get itching and some pain in that ear? My ringing is very loud at time. One doctor said it is a meneiers attack what do you think? The hearing help but not the ringing, mu audiology gave me a app on my phone for the ringing. But I am so sensitive to noise and my hearing changed that I drive myself crazy every now and then. But on a bad day my hearing aid is so helpful. Sorry you had wasted your money.
