Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

I feel so bad wake up sick and dizzy every day,ask dr. and she just says its meniere's or anxiety but every day,I feel like this any help out there, thanks,Squarley

I too have had it real bad since the weather changed here last week. It seems that sudden change of weather and changing of the seasons are very hard for me....my meniere's symptoms rage. At the same time I'm off my thyroid medicine...so I'm staying in the bed sleeping a lot. Absolutely no driving for me ( not that I could make it to the car)!

Have u tried ginger? really has helped me. Unfortunately, I had a bad cold and now my ear's blocked so it's down to only 10% hearing and the dr won't just give me antibi's but insists i take the ototoxic eardrops which caused me hearing loss a few years ago:( I keep praying it's just a sinus infection and will go away...

I feel you squarely! anxiety is usually a huge trigger for everybody and as calady said change of seasons. I find I'm worse off in the rain and such as well so that might contribute. I just try to stay positive and relax as much as possible. I know this is not as helpful as one might want but usually after the weather settles down and stays cooler things get better. so just hang in there and it'll be over soon!

Hi Squarely, sorry you are feeling so low. I have had the dizzyness (thankfully, no nausea) since I had the Gentamycin injection. If your doctor isn't taking this seriously, I hop you give some thought to looking in to seeing an Otologist. Ever since I went to see mine, I have had gradual improvement.

Aw Squarely honey, thats not good awakening to that every day :-( I also can wake up feeling soo off balance, brain fogged and nauseated but on those days I go back to bed and lie down a while then try again. uckily it doesnt happen too often at the moment. My meds are Pizotifen, I take one every night ,they are an anti migraine med and they work too!! I always know if i miss taking it. I also take serc 16 3 x a day and I am on a mild anti depressant to keep me ticking over without going down and out!! I also have IBS and Diverticula and am on meds for this too soo yep..I dont rock... I rattle !! lol Keep your chin up honey, we are here to download all anxieties on to and this helps to unburden your shoulders and clear your mind of the negatives too luv n hugs to u xxooxx

Ms. Shirly, I am so sorry your not feeling well! I like you often wonder why this goes on every single day. It is so rare for me not to have unbalance or some extent of dizziness. But I keep going! Hang in there my friend, we are here for you!
