Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
The biggest problem with dwelling on the same subject is that it moves from being a problem to a psychosis, at this point the root needs to be revealed and for many it is depression. This is a real tough thing to go through because it is different for everyone. In my case, I have sever depression but am really able to handle it with the use of medication (I am on Cymbalta). The medication helps me to cope and live a more level life. I also really deal with things one day at a time. I now have good days and I have bad days. It is not unheard of that people with difficult MD have also depression. When you think of what you go through it is tough to image how people even cope. Talk to your doctor about this, also Valium is great at reducing anxiety and helps put the breaks on the spinning. I fear for you because at some point you may really hurt yourself.
Not trying to scare you, many people on this site follow a similar regiment in controlling their condition. You are among many friends who care.
God bless!

When my Meniere's was just starting to get out of control - you know realizing I couldn't do stuff I normally could do my doctor recommended I see a therapist. I wasn't really thrilled with the idea but I did go along and see a therapist. I only saw her for a few months but it was nice to have an hour to talk to someone who genuinely listened to me. Good luck!
Have blessings in this day and always! : )
