Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

I believe it was in Jan 2015 i had a severe attack from MD. My memory was affected. Since then I had other mild attack. But the problem is my memory is not yet back 100%. Is this normal? should I speak to my medical doctor? I am in my early 40s and had a great memory before. Please help.

I wish I had some words of wisdom for you, but can only tell you to hang in there. There are times when I show very minor signs of Meniere's but the memory or foggy brain is my biggest problem. It is frustrating and scary to lose control my brain like I use to. I usually ride it out, but it couldn't hurt to see a doctor. You're not alone, there are a lot of us hear that understand what you are going through. God Bless and Best Wishes.

I'd see a doctor since you're in your early 40s. Wouoldn't hurt. Memory loss and brain fog are common, but usually the memory thing doesn't last whereas a brain fog might. Frustrating. Good luck! Hang in there.

I have memory problems with my MD, but it is also compounded by epilepsy. In October 2015 I fell over during a vertigo attack and ended up with Post Concussive Syndrome and now my short term memory is awful. Doctors hope that will clear up soon. Hope your memory issue is explained by a doctor as I do not think it should be too bad with just MD, but as I said other issues could be affecting you.

Do see your doctor and make notes of your issues as they occur so you can explain the challenges you are facing. Best of luck and stay positive.

I was having attacks after the severe attack how to last week. For me I do not think my brain recovered from the severe attack. The more I do not have an attack i feel better. But I keep having an attack from then. I will speak to my Dr when I see her. Thanks
