Time to make a list of the good things in your day.
Angry? That I can't eat at get togethers.... or sing in the choir.... But I can get through that.
Lonely? When I avoid people and crowds and conversations because I am too dizzy. Or simply staying home because it is easier. And missing my grown kids at Christmas.
Depressed? Not really. I pray a lot. God is good. I try not to think about the angry or the lonely or the..... So make a + list.

I'm sure everyone on this post has had at least one "Why Me" day. I know I have been there -- done that --- got the t-shirt. MD sucks, yeah I said it --- IT SUCKS. But take a deep breath and know you are NOT alone. I wish I had some great words of wisdom to pass along to help you feel better. Praying for you!

I get depressed a lot I've lost a lot of friends I can't go out and eat do the things I used to do but I try to just stay at home do the things I like to do it home and keep the friends that do want to come around hope you have a good trip and no trouble on your airflight keep us updated Merry Christmas Shirley

MD will sort friends from non friends. Its like being disabled but know one can tell by looking at you until they are around for an episode. Friends know I don't attend large, nosy events because I cannot follow any conversations and people get tired of translating after a while. Friends know that I am not drunk, when I stumble or cannot maneuver through a doorway without bumping a corner. Too many members of my family have MD for me to truly be alone. My mom just retired at 70. I cannot complain about the lost of hearing or anything else when I look at her accomplishments. She is like the little train that could, the amplified version and gives me hope that I can keep driving, working, just living in spite of MD.

It is alright to have little depressed, angry, and lonely while you have to deal with MD because we have human. It is a little more difficult to deal with MD while live alone. i am so fortunately to have a dog to keep me accompany a last five years with dealing with MD. i do a lot of prayers and deep gratitude a little small simple thing in LIVE.

no, I feel lethargic. It's easier to stay at home especially w/ work & personal responsibilities.

The last 3 months of 2013 were "why me? months. The cold weather made me miss the simple things have been the hardest. Carrying conversations, going to the movies, going for walks by myself, and eating at a restaurant. The scary part is hoping that when the weather gets warmer most of my hearing will return.
