Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
Did you take everything on the list or did you pick and choose what vitamins to take etc? Also, what did the plan do for you in reference to the fullness symptom that we all deal with everyday?
Thanks
I equate dizziness and vertigo to ear fullness when it gets too tight inside the inner ear. SO anything that can ease the pressure will help me move along better.
I do not equate dizziness with the down on the floor, world spinning so fast you can't even tell which way the ceiling is, don't know how you are going to get through the next 60 seconds....vertigo! I think we all will do most anything to not have that vertigo! It is different too from when the room would slowly spin but not enough to lose my lunch. Just sit and wait and it stopped....I can deal with the fullness, the noise, the drunken stagger, the "floating" through the grocery store, always holding on the handrails... one day at a time, but it is doable....
Keep sight of your ultimate goals, research, try things, listen to all these people who have had so many experiences, and take one step at a time. Be patient.
God's blessings.
Your words raised my spirits tonight.
Rather than adding more supplements, I stopped with just these 2 since I was feeling better. I continued to do better, and now it's been more than a month since my last vertigo. I'm not adding the other supplements, because I don't want to change ANYTHING now that I'm doing ok.
Do I know for sure that it is the supplements that helped? Of course not. I'm also on a diuretic and watch my diet closely (but I had been doing those things for 3 months before I started the supplements with no let-up in my vertigo). Also, the worst of my allergy season is the spring, so that could contribute. Or it could have been total coincidence. All I know is that I am not having vertigo right now, so I'm not going to change anything that I'm doing at the moment.
