Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

So sorry for your frustrations on top of your MD. It is hard to get help that is needed, or even understanding sometimes.
Yes, stress makes it bad. So start your fight there. Find some stress reducing strategies that you can use for short times or long times. Pamper yourself with good diet, exercise, sleep!
Maybe if you gave info for what part of the country you live, you might get a response from someone who knows a good doctor in your area.
And fight. AFTER you get enough sleep, etc. to help you.
What are you doing for your MD now?
Yes, the mood gets crazy. As does the head, the thoughts, the balance, the vision, the hearing..... As you find your triggers that make you feel worse, you can alter your lifestyle to avoid some of your symptoms and overall you can cope. Give yourself time to understand all of this. And keep coming back here for support , encouragement, and maybe some answers.
My biggest help with stress is my prayer life. God's blessings.
I am praying you can find answers and healing, or peace to live with illness. I have been able to come to a state of mind, I don't worry about the vertigo and hearing loss, and prepare for the possibility. I am very fortunate to not have attacks on a regular basis, I can go for many months without an episode, and then have a few in a cluster, so it is probably easier for me, not dealing with it on a daily basis.
Peace to you. Daph
It is a comfort to know that others have being through it and is stronger.
Definitely do not give up!!!!
Yes, what you just described during your work day is the regular routine we all go through. This condition is very cruel and can really mess with your mental state of mind. It is not uncommon down the road to develop some depression out of this rollercoaster ride called Meniere's disease. Just take a deep breath, try to slow it down, take your meds and do the best you can.
I feel for you, this is a tough way to live.
God bless always!

I understand your frustration!! It seems like no one knows that
much about MD. I am still waiting on appointments for my hearing loss ( both ears) you have to do your own research, and know all that is available out there! I am using the Meniett devise with positive results. I finally don't have to worry about going out and be afraid of starting a bout of vertigo and vomiting. Vertigo is under control with meds now and vomiting is gone...I am so relieved as I fought to get the devise. It's not cheap but it sure helps!! Don't give up someone WILL listen to you!!

As for your hearing, I am still trying to research that aspect. It is a very debilitating disease. I am trying to find out about stopping the hearing loss, but I can't seem to start a discussion out here. Maybe you can help. H
I"m glad U are seeing a neuro as I just saw that people are and since I had 4 concussion like injuries and neck problems. I'm going to check in2 this...When U are losing your hearing and dealing with all the symptoms of meniere's, it's hard to keep fighting for your rights as we don't need any more stress.
Do u have a copy of the meniere's disease booklet that a good doctor should give U? I find taking any printed info with me when I go to a doctor's office helps. In fact, give them to everyone U can, including your boss! i also have had good luck with taking ginger capsules first thing out of bed.
With the losing your hearing, it's like any loss and we have to go thru the 5 stages of grief. Having a good empathetic therapist helps. I will add U to my prayer list...I do hope if you can use a cell phone that you keep it away from ur ear?!
