Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

I was diagnosed with Menieres and vestibular migrainous a year ago after two years of misdiagnosis, 5 ENT's who were all hostile and mean. I finally saw a specialist and paid out of pocket. Today I'm struggling with symptoms bad and grieving over the loss of my old self. I thought others who will understand would be helpful. My loved ones don't get it, makes it worse. Thanks for having me.

To prove that not all doctors know anything about Menier's, I had a country doctor diagnosed me with a brain tumor. So for two years, that is what I thought I had until I had a better doctor educated me about what I actually had....Menier's. From all of my past experiences, found out I had it most of my life. Looking back at my mom and sister, it seems they too had it from all the symptoms I seen all those years. But no one knew anything about it. At least now, I know for sure about what and why.

Hi Rainy.
I agrees with Canvasguy not all documents know about meniere and some Know very little. I keep getting pass on from one ENT to another and dropped two because they cared more about money than me. Most people aren't going to understand if they don't have it or know someone who do. Glad you here

I totally understand this. I feel no one gets it. They look at me and see a healthy people. But little do they understand.
