Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
Another odd thing I had to do was put an earplug in my bad ear. Certain pitches would set off dizzy episodes. I found a skin-colored brand of earplugs and most folks don't realize it's there.
Something else I recommend is an essential oil ointment called "Divertigo". You can order it online from Walmart or Target or Amazon. Rub it behind your ear and then give it a sniff and something about the blend of oils really helps to push back the vertigo.
Also, something that I have not seen anybody else comment on is my eyeglass prescription. I recently got reading glasses and I started wearing them full-time because of how much less dizzy they make me feel. It turns out my driving glasses that help me focus long-distance are part of the problem. I'm still experimenting to find out why, though...
