Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
Do you ever feel like high maintenance when telling some one about MD?
I told my Pastor and he was very nice but I often feel like I am taking up to much of some-ones time. I felt like this before now I feel just stupid. Because they ask well what do they do to control it or get rid of it. I say stay away from salt, caffeine and alcohol. There is medicine but really every one is different. I start explaining what I know and then they are either horrified or don't believe me because they have never seen a vertigo episode. I just want to crawl in bed and stay there. I don't know what MD will do to me all I know is the tinnitus isn't constant but its coming on more then it used to and seems like vertigo is an every present monster waiting to pounce :(

Yes, people just don't get it. They are looking for something on the outside that they can see so that they can understand it. Good grief, a lot of ENT's don't even really understand it.
DON'T feel stupid on top of everything else you are putting up with. You know how you feel. Don't think you ever have to defend it. God gives strength, wisdom, patience, understanding.... all of what you need. So, ask anyone to include you in their prayers.... and pray for a cure.
I'm so glad that you are telling others, though. That is a good thing.
