Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
First a little humor. I did a search for posts on Daily Strength including "good doctor's for Meniere's" and here is what I got: Did you mean: "good doctors for manure's disease"?
My thought is, let's come up with a list of doctors around the country that have helped us. I think we all have horror stories about doctors who either think we are faking or are clueless about the disease. I had an ER doc early on who laughed when he said "there is nothing you can do and you just have to live with it." Such a list would be helpful to all of us, but especially those new to the disease and terrified.
I live in Wausau, Wisconsin and have found a very good doctor at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, WI: Dr James Holt in Otolaryngology.

I see Dr. Steve Millen in Milwaukee (Hales Corners). It is good to know there is a good Dr. at Marshfield Clinic. I am orginally from Wausau and in the next few years my husband and I will be retiring to Wautoma. While we lived in Wautoma a while ago, I went to Marshfield to see a Neuro-Opthomologist, who was fantasic. It is a bit of a drive, but everything is a bit of a drive from Wautoma. Marshfield Clinic seems to do everything well.
He is a Neurotologist.
