Meniere's Disease Support Group

Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

I wake up every day with ear pressure and ringing or roaring sound and hearing bad in right ear,gets better in afternoon ,any one experience any thing like that or know what may help driving me crazy, thanks for any advice, Squarley

I actually get worse as the day goes on, I think it's just a matter of dealing with the constant sense of being off balance and straining to hear.
As for the tinnitus, wish I could say something comforting. My ENT was quite blunt with regards to this, he told me eventually I would get used to it. It took a while but time has proven him correct. That's not to say there are not times when the tinnitus isn't extremely bothersome but in general I'm so used to it I hardly notice it.

Talk to you doctor about a nasal spray or using sudafed for the fullness. I have allergies that last a couple weeks and noticed that when I use nasonex that the fullness would go away. I called my ent and he said to use it whenever my ears get real full. Now the only time I get that feeling is when a strong weather front is coming through -- like now. : (
