Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

How about "Caindo", or Cando" for the cain's name. You could get really corny and say, "Cain makes me Abel." Sorry about that!
I totally understand! I'm 56 myself and had to start using a cane about two years ago. I don't need it all the time, mostly when it's raining or storming and if I try to go in a store. I fought it for awhile, but I sure am glad to have it when the MD is acting up! It really helps to keep me on my feet. So glad yours is helping you!
PS I would call your cane "Candy"...LOL
