Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
Question for you: Has your doctor talked to you about Vestibular Rehab? It helps retrain the brain to read the signals it's getting correctly so you don't walk crooked and your balance is better. However you have to have a Physical Therapist who has had special training in Vestibular Rehab. I highly recommend it. Not only has it helped me walk more right, I can normally stop any spinning episodes I feel coming on just by doing a quick couple of eye exercises that most people don't even notice you are doing.
