Meniere's Disease Support Group

Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

For 10 days I felt like crap. The vertigo the nausea headaches and vision changes. I really thought I was just going thru a really bad spell. I felt so sick my husband took me to the ER on Sunday just so I could get so IV meds and fluids. A great ER doc really seemed to be perplexed and had me go back 10 days to see what was going on. I had spinal injections to help my lower back. Apparently when the injection was done my spinal fluid was nicked. I ended up having a blood patch and when the doc did the patch he saw the leak and confirmed that's why I had been feeling so lousy. I had seen my regular doc and ENT and both thought it was just a rough spell which makes perfect sense since flowers are starting to bloom and allergies are bothering everyone. I guess I just want to put it out there to look at all possibilities if you are not doing well. Hope everyone is doing well today!!!

WOW thats what im starting to think , i was wondering if all the allergens out have cause me severe attacks over all of april , its been so tough getting through this month

Really great followup on your part with your doctor. You could have had a real long and difficut time with that spinal fluid. I have had that issue before, my leak was in my head, I thought I was going to pass out.

God bless, hope things continue to work out and as Sammy says watch out for the allergens, they are really bad this year for some reason.
