Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.
The last two weeks I have being crying a lot because of the pain in my ear. My medical doctor gave nothing and said she cannot because of another health issues I have. Plus, work has become very stressful of other counselors not doing their job. Some time I want to quit working but I live alone and has no family. I have friends but does not want to be a burden. I apply for section 8 but was not chosen.
Life is seeming to be over burden lately. I speak to a counselor but I am always sick started this year.
My jobs say I am a good worker but I am always sick. The bosses never complain when I miss work. But the stress level is getting to me. I get my first hearing aid in three weeks.
What can I do? I have an appointment today with the ENT and was going to ask her about tube in my ear, is that a good idea, They say I water in my ear which is always the problem this year. I still goes to church but had missed a few wish is wired but the menieres.
I am so frustrated and sad because of the pain and discomfort. Anyways if anyone have any advise I welcome it.

This doesn't always work for me but sometimes if I put an icepack behind my ear, not over it, but tucked up against the back of it so it's behind and underneath my ear, it does relieve some of the pain.
I think there has to be some swelling in there somewhere and the ice reduces that so it feels better. I don't know why it works sometimes and not other times, but I hope if you try it, it helps you!

Thanks! You may be on to something there. I was just at the dentist and he said everything seemed to be just fine but who knows.
Anyway, if the ice helps alleviate some of the pain, then that's a good thing too! :)
