yes i do wonder myself sometimes jwlee. i also know people that have no respect or care for anything and they are healthy as a horse and i have this. it isn't fair. i hate the fact that one minute you can be fine and the next you can be sick as a dog. can't plan anything. i am sorry you are having such a hard time lately. i hope this turns around for you. sometimes it seems in life the bad things happen to the best people. good luck. hang in there

Yep sure do!! I find myself thinking "why can't I have something other than this like diabetes or joint pain" then I feel bad for thinking that and realize that things really could be so much worse. Or I see other people running around ad I think "why me?? What have I done to deserve this??" I try to stay positive, but the fact is this disease sucks and sometimes it just gets to us more than other times. I hope you are having a spin free day, hugs to you!

I always say the secret service should incorporate a Meniere's attack into their interrogations. The bad guys would sing like birds. Ha Ha.
Yes it could be worse. Since my family all has ADD/anxiety I say ADD is a life long affliction but Meniere's is a life altering one. We just have to make the most of the good days and no it sure isn't fair. Thank goodness we have each other.

Yeah, I feel guilty sometimes for feeling the way I do. A 19 year old football player and straight A student in the town I live just died from cancer. I sit around and think, I bet he would have probably traded with me without a second thought. But this disease is so frustrating I think we just can't help but feel that way sometimes.

I feel the same way, but I know we are not suppose to ask why me...I struggle with that all the time. I know God has a plan for me, and maybe its to make me realize things I would otherwise not. So in the mean time I am patient.

I have been blessed by my neighbors and they don't even know it. Here in Minnesota, my neighbor's wife was killed this last year on her way to deliver papers at 6 a.m. She had the extra job to help pay for the doctor bills of their teenage son with cancer. When I lived in Washington, my neighbor, the dad, a computer expert, had MS and couldn't even hold his head up. He would come rolling out of his house, down his ramp with a huge grin on his face, his youngest daughter riding the back of his wheelchair while he popped wheelies.
Yes, this disease is HARD, and life -changing, but I'm still swamped with blessings in each day. Hope everyone has a great day today! Be positive. God's blessings!

RachelT, you said it very well! I don't usually ask '"why me" because I know that nothing happens that God can't use for good. I once spoke to a woman with MD that confessed that she thought every day about killing herself to escape the disease. After we spoke, though, she said her symptoms were mild compared to what I was going through and she had completely backed off of suicidal thoughts. If we look around, there is always someone worse off. Just look at sweet Squarley talking about losing a husband and daughter! Compared to her suffering, I have none! Still, it's only natural for us to reach a point where we just need to vent and be angry at our situations. I know I do it way too much for someone as blessed as I am.
