Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

The vertigo is so hard to deal with. I enjoy those good days. Knowing the attacks don't last long, for me, and I am still alive when they are over, helps me through it . Like you, once I have another attack, it is hard to move forward without fear.

I am very sorry that you are having such difficulty in your life with the MD, work and faith. There is a path we all follow in regards to excepting this condition. I feel that as time goes forward and after much personal change, things will begun to get better for you. I always looked at life, not so much as a guaranteed road that gets better with age but more like a book of many chapters, the next much different than the one before. In this book anything can happen. I remember when I got divorced from my first wife, never in a million years did I think I would be anything but a great dad and a great supporter of my family and community. All this changed and today, though I am very happy, I also am very ill. I guess that is how this chapter is being written. One thing that has helped me the most is my faith in God. I do not know if you had a good relation with your dad or not, I do not know if your dad is alive or not. My father is gone, been now for 20 years. Many times I wish I could ask him for his help, his advise and his love. I know his answer to me would probably not change my situation, but the comfort I would draw from him would lift me up and get me through. As strong as my love for dad is I understand I still have a father who watches over me, the difference between the two is that I had my father here on earth for a time, just as I am here for a time, just as you are here for those girls of yours for a time. Our time on earth represents just a flash in the spectrum of the life eternal. What we are here for, why we exist is to get ready for that next big chapter. What is going on with other people dose not matter, it there own book to keep, they will struggle too, and they will have moments of dark shadows. Keep in mind your heavenly father hears you and will reassure you, will give your strength to persevere.
I hope some of this helps, will keep you in prayer as you work through the troubles of this day. Many here on this site are here for you also, other people do care about you! You are a very important person in the world!
God bless
