Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

Weekend

I was so looking forward to having a productive weekend. Got up, showered normal routine. Was planning on doing laundry (which takes me all day since I have to sit and control my dizziness in between). My sister asked me to go with her to pick up a rental car 15 min from my house. By the time we got there I was hanging on for dear life. I was extremely dizzy and nauseous. I felt horrible. Needless to say the breakfast we were planning after that did NOT happen. I came home and now laying on my bed feeling miserable. I pray this does not control my Saturday.

Went to a birthday party this morning for my twin granddaughters (2years old) felt a little crappy so I just numbed myself with a about 15 mg of valium and 50 mg 0f meclizine felt much better made it thru the party there as 15 sets of twins there gonna pick up my buddy later to watch nascar tonight may even have beer if I feel like shit tomorrow I'll stay in bed but for today the hell with it all I'm going to enjoy myself

Thank you all, I see we all go through the same things. We have things we don't want to miss out on and even though we are sick we go. I slept all morning. Ended up having a late lunch with my sister. I still didn't feel well but I went, came home and have slept all afternoon. I feel like I ran a marathon. I am like you all, sick and tired of being sick and tired, but life has to go on.

God bless you. I think all of us literally know how bad you feel. Sometimes I know it feels like more than you can bear; but you are strong and you CAN make it through! I pray that it has passed quickly and you are able to salvage your weekend. So sorry this has control of your life--for now. But as long as you are not giving up, there is hope! I have just had a turn for the better after five long years of near-constant misery. You CAN get better, too. I refuse to believe otherwise! Lifting you up in prayer right now.

I think the worst part is when you finally start to come out of it and feel sort of normal you have the knowledge that it is only a matter of time before it comes again. So you try to run real fast in the good times. Sometimes I go along with troxman399 and have a drink. If I am going to be spinning I might as well enjoy it. Was very good for a few days and had one of the worst attacks ever so clean living doesn't help me much. Looking very forward to trying the injections. Try to stay verticle everyone!
