Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

Absolutely...I've done so well for about a year then the other day I ate some Thai food and I've been do sick the last few days...ugh! I can totally sympathize. Hope you feel better soon!

Oh, I had some new type of Italian Lasagna and as soon as the third bite was in me, I knew I was in trouble! Problem was my brother and nephew were visiting and they had never been to this wonderful place so I couldn't cut it short and ruin their meal. I just did some of my VRT exercises and was able to get to the white sauces and desert. : )

Yes. I am going through that right now. Missed yesterday because of it. Not only does the usual culprits affect me, but also milk products. I decided to have a root beer shake and I am paying for it now big time. I am not sure if I will ever learn!

I found that food intolerances were the main trigger for my Meniere's symptom (both chronic and acute). I have been able to eliminate all Meniere's symptoms since starting a low-lectin & nightshade-free "paleo" diet. I have a two-week menu on my website (www.managemenieres.com) if you want to see what that type of diet looks like (basically it involves eating only meat/fish, vegetables and fruit, along with natural fats from animals or from coconut and olive oil instead of grain-derived oils). It was challenging to make the shift but totally worth it to regain my health.

Mayacoleman, I agree with you totally I have changed from a low sodium diet to a anti-inflammation diet which is a lot like the Paleo diet, it has done wonders for me. I still have a of mild off balance once in a while and about 3 times a year a drop attack
. But I will take that over how I was
6 hours on the floor. I don't do anything that the med. field says to, it just was not working for me, so through my chiropractor, I started removing all foods that cause inflammation what a difference. I can
go out with friends again, go out to eat with my family, go shopping. The only thing I don't do is drive do to the drop attacks.
