Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

I take high dosages on antidepresents (cymbalta) which I really like because it helps with peripheral neuropathy pain so I get a double benifit. This med dose tend to make you drowsy, as do many. I print drug sheets on all my meds from time to time and it is amazing how many of them have drowsy or sleep causing as a side effect. In some disability cases it can even be the meds a person takes that causes the disability, it is and should be a consideration. A person must judge for themselfs how much they can tollerate. Many people take Phenergan for nausia, it also is an antihistamine, so imagine taking Valium, Phenergan and often another diertic like triamterene. The whole thing is the making for Zombe stew!!! LOL. I would suggest reviewing you drug and side effects before so you have knowlege of what you might expect with a antidepresent. I would also suggest taking a product that works for me called Super B Complex. This is avaiable at Walmart and has many of the B vitimins, this will give you a energy boost, help with motabolism. For me its like having a cup of coffee (in the old days). Try this on work days, sometimes I take two but not often or late in the day. Never have trouble sleeping. Hope this helps.
