This community is for those DailyStrength members that have an interest in medical research, academic research, and clinical trials, as well as professionals conducting health-related trials and research. Unlike other DailyStrength Support Groups, this group welcomes posts (from both academics and professionals) aimed at recruiting participants for trials and research.
1. What was the person like before the injury?
2. Is the victim aware they are impaired?
3. How severe was the brain injury?
4. What areas of the brain have been injured?
5. At what age were they injured?
6. Is the victim male of female?
7. Did the injury cause personality changes or did other effects of the brain injury such as cognitive changes and frustration and frustration?
8. Did the victim get adequate care post TBI?
9. What is there economic status. Let's say I was a boxer and I was well off financially. I'd say it was worth becoming punchy for me. If on the other hand I was a math teacher and was no longer able to do my job, I'd be very angry.
10. Then there's the abuse all disabled people who seek voc rehab suffer. It's worse for TBI victims.
I think this survey has to be more specific so you don't end up comparing apples and oranges and I think family members should be interviewed.
You may want to interview veterans with service related TBI to limit some of the variables.
