I get frequent UTIs but the cultures never show anything! My urine will smell bad, look awful and I will hurt but the cultures never show anything! Now the urinalysis will be nasty and the antibiotics will clear everything up. My Dr thinks I may have bladder inflammation. The Rheumy says she sees a lot of women with autoimmune disorders with bladder problems. Probably interstitial cystitis. Yuck!
So, did they ultrasound your kidneys, because that pain sounds sike it is in the area of the kidneys! Maybe you have a stone or it is a kidney infection as well as a bladder infection. Most of the time I dont feel like my kidney is involved in the infection. But sometimes it is and then I get really sick and my blood pressure goes up. (The kidney has a lot of influence on the blood pressure and the other way around!) Hope this helps.

Thank you. It does help. I get the feeling my Doctor is the type who won't look at this as an option. He made me feel like I was crazy and gave me those pills. I will have to see on Monday.

Update from today. I had a ct scan on my bladder area and we are going to talk about my results on Wednesday. He said it's probably not intersitial cystitis because I don't pee enough. 3 times during the night isn't enough to say it's that. That will be the last test we will do if kidney stones and other stuff are ruled out. That test consists of putting you under and inflating your bladder like a balloon. If it stretches out and pops right back it's not it. However, it it bleeds a little and cracks that is what I have. UGH!
