I've been off the plaquenil for about a month now and it is horrible. They thought that was what was causing the itching. But now, I am achy all over and tired, I have lots of new pains that I never had before I started the plaquenil three years ago. My scalp hurts and I have been getting horrible headaches. My new pcp got me a new rheumy who is closer to me, but I don't go until October, so I hope I can hold out until then. If not maybe my pcp can prescribe something to get me through.
My daughter starts preschool in a week. I'm excited, but I will probably get nervous the closer we get. I know she will love it, she is a little social butterfly and she can't wait to meet some new kids. I took her to the salon for her first real haircut on Saturday. She absolutely loved it and wants to go back already. She will be turning four in a couple weeks, so my family will be down to visit. It will be nice to see my parents, I haven't seen them since July and my mom broke her leg and had surgery on it, so it will be nice for her to be able to get out of the house for a few days.
Hope everyone is doing well. Hope everyone stays safe with all this crazy weather we are having.
-Kate
I dont really care as we dont get any tornados!

In spite of the problems I got from the Plaquenil, I miss it! Got to say, I really was able to do more and felt better.
Mary Ann
Yea, I really did feel a lot better on it, and it wasn't causing the itching since I am still itching. Whatever the new doc gives me it better be just as good if not better.

I can't wait until fall I hope it comes soon. I am so tired of the HOT steemie weather this year...yeah our hot has broken a few records also.
It is so hard to breath when it is so ho! Let alone try to stay out side. I wish I could handle working in my veg. garden it nees some work so badly...your lucky to have gotten to do some work in your flower beds.
Well all the kids around here are back at school and for some unknown reason my dogs bark more that they are back in school then they did all summer.....must be they were gone mostly?
I know that I hurt and I don't need to talk about all my pain and aches etc. I don't have plaquenil I take so far Hydorcodon 7.5/325 for now.
I don't have RA so far as they have tested my blood twice over the years. I might be hinden or my body is hiden or whatever.
I do have OR and it is everywhere they tell me. So who knows?
I have diabetes and it is mild thank heaven....The COPD is kicking me in the but lately....it's hard to breath when it is hot and it brings out bad air....sort of ops of cold air brings too cold to breath...how silly it all is I guess?
I had my two grandkids all weekend up til yesterday afternoon. It was nice to have them...but hard to keep an eye on them....I'm sory I use the tv to keep them order or whatever.
I have too can't get around that well as I use too....it feels like a memory these days, Oh yeah I use to be able to do more when were those days? LOL just thinking out loud
I purchase a new/used car....we needed a van to carry my scooter we purchase last month...since the Nuro doctor said to us I can't keep falling down.....and the mini van is used so it isn't that new or old. Nice to ride in. Better then our truck 3/4 hard on your back and getting into truck.
It's like I am almost afaird to own anything any more..but this was important. We even have room now to do the right thing when we have both of our grandkids with us they are in their child seats...which is a good thing.
So I guess I should not feel guilty. Just enjoy. right.
I have the newest dease so far is the Neuropathy in both legs they told me. Not sure about the rest of me? They did more MRI's and then two weeks I guess it's been on my knee once again....not sure they really know what is wrong with my body....just gives out a lot and hurts. I Had an EMG and the Nuro doctor was surprize to see my right leg worse then my left since I can't really move my left toes?
Well I guess I'm just falling apart as my husband says.
Oh yeah my huysband does the cooking and cleaning the dishes....what about the house well it's getting bad....needs vacumming and he tells me he will do it.....but when is what I am wondering about....can't push him....he does a lot now.
He isn't working so he is here at home and he just retired.
Has his own health issues too .....takes something to keep awake espiecally afternoon time....what a pair right?
Well I know our stairs is my excerise going up and down is a feat....so I count that. I just hang on so I won't fall.
I am getting older and it seems harder.
I can't remember my mom being this way at my age, or grandma...so it is weird for me. I want to just get up and run. wish wish.
They didn't find I had feeling in each side of my face....wonder what that meant?
I have so many illnesses that some of them get left behind...maybe that is good....I don't know if I want to know?
I wish I had guts to change GP doctors....I need to find a new heart doctor...lagely my heart is been crazy...so has the chest pains....
Well can't think any more.....thank goodness lol
have a good weekend and week eveyryone.
god bless you all

My son starts preschool tomorrow, and my oldest went back to school last week, so I'll have an empty house for a couple of hours several days a week!! I'm sure that will be designated as exercise time, so I can get my joints moving for the day. If I don't exercise I feel like the tin man - pretty nasty. I also have lots of fatigue, but I just push myself until nap time and then I take a nap, which definately helps. No nap yesterday b/c of our busy schedule, and I was dragging myself around by 6 pm, laid on the couch for a couple of hours and was in bed by 9. So naps are definately a priority for me or I can't make it through the day.
Feeling pretty good so far. Last week I felt like iron man. I pushed the limits and it felt great. I hope I have a similar week this week.
I'll keep you posted. Gym was closed yesterday, so no Monday spin:(
Be well!!
I hope everyone is well....have a great week....nap time!
Leanne
Sounds like everyone is busy and sore.
Mary Ann we are getting a ton of rain too. It is crazy! Texas is burning and we are drowning!
I am doing about the same. It has been a year since I was diagnosed and the Plaquenil has helped a lot but I still have joint pain, difficulty swallowing and fatigue so my rheumy is putting me on MTX. I start next week. She said I could loose some hair, have nauseousness and fatigue but she thought it was unlikely. She put me on folic acid too. I am hoping it suppresses my appetite ...that would be a bonus! It seems like there should be an unexpected upside to all of this!
One is that I have found this group. You all are a great resource and support for me and I really do appreciate you! : )
Kate, my youngest started his sophomore year of COLLEGE and I am pretty excited about it. He is the fourth we have put through college it will be lovely when he finally graduates!
Well everyone enjoy September it brings so many new beginnings. I am looking forward to it being cooler with no rain and plenty of sunshine. And hoping the MTX does what it is suppose to!

She put me on the pill form. I am going to visit my son this weekend and then will start it next week. I'll let you know how it goes. I do hope there is some improvement .
Slowing down is hard. Take one day at a time.
