I have been having some weird episodes, and from my 'research' and it seems like partial seizuresI get a really strong sense of Deja vu and then a tingling sensation up my arms and through to my core and then I feel like I might explode or something. I feel like I might vomit or have explosive diarrhea and then it goes away and I am left with a headache..

any Ideas or suggestions?

Seems a visit to the Dr. is in order. You need to see a neurologist and probably need a referral, so see the family Dr and see if he will send you. Meanwhile, If he would order an EEG, that would be helpful! It Might just be atypical migraines, but hard to tell. You can get inflammation of the brain from autoimmune diseases. That warrants big time treatment! You need to know what this is.

thanks MaryAnn.I have mentioned it to the doctors and none of them seemed all that concerned. I just wondered if this had happened to anyone else or anything similar. It doesn't happen very often maybe once or twice a year.

I'm familiar with most of those symptoms except the GI stuff-- but not in that sequence. If the sequence is the same every time, THAT is weird and warrants follow up. One of the reasons I quit drinking was the feeling like I might explode, and that more or less went away. (Now I kind of miss it, but I know that's just crazy talk.) Once or twice a year, I wouldn't worry too much about it, but then again, I'm kind of nutty about ignoring symptoms.

I totally hear you about doctors ignoring mental status symptoms.
You tell them that you put your dog in the refrigerator and took a bag of groceries for a walk, you keep hearing your grandmother singing "Lobotomy" by the Ramones, or that everything in your field of vision is breaking up into little dots... no one cares, they ask you about your bunions, or tell you that you probably have the flu, or give you more blood pressure medicine. It's like talking to a wall.

Cat, you crack me up! I'm not all that concernedI can function through an episode.I've had one while driving and while to talking to people, it's not something that is noticeable, just uncomfortable.

I was just wondering because my daughter was diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy 2 years ago..maybe it was something hereditary?? She was 23 when dx'd but was having symptoms since highschool.they thought it was anxiety, she was having twitches. She had a gran mal on her 23rd birthday just after she had had a eeg. She is now on meds and doing well.

I was just wondering if this is something that is mctd related or familial.
