Steroids vs. pain meds is a tough one. When I was a kid, I used steroids and now I use pain meds... more regularly than I would like, but my headaches have been terrible in the evening from all this reading. When you are older, I think steroids are more for inflammatory crises, and they are probably great for that.
My foot is better, but my hip is in terrible shape. Got to get back to work, having trouble staying organized, but my memory and cognitive issues have cleared remarkably.
