Good morning all. A work day, but up early due to hip pain. Better since I got up.
The meet was OK but my girl is still too slow. She was tired last night and it showed. Still , she was only 2 sec slower than her fastest time on the 200 and 500. 8 min is a long time to swim and I am proud of her.
Busy day at work. We usually put up the Christmas tree on the day before Thanksgiving. I dont much like to decorate. Love the holidays but decorating usually involves cleaning and I hate that! Then you have to put it all away! Gripe, gripe, gripe!:)
Cat, I am worried about your leg. To the DR with you again!!!Wish I was there to see it. But that is the nurse in me. Got to check it out for myself.

Wow! How cool that we heard from Josee! What an awesome start to the holiday season! Maybe things are looking up....
MT, eight minutes IS a long time to swim, particularly swimming fast. 200 and 500, are those meters, yards, feet, what? I typically swim a leisurely approximate half mile and I'm guessing it takes me around 19 minutes, but I usually will swim for 21 or 22 just to make sure. I have no idea what it would be like to swim eight minutes flat out--- I can't even do interval training, really. At the end of the summer when I'm in shape, sometimes I'll take a few fast laps.
Yes, I hate the cleanup at mom's house, too. This year, I'm keeping it simple.
Thanks for the concern about my foot, I just got back from urgent care-- my third visit. Not to sound ageist, but I am so glad I got a doctor over 40! He did a great exam and took a very detailed history of the past two weeks. He was a bit concerned, and agreed recovery was slow, but the good news? The black stuff on my toe is NOT gangrene! How cool is that?! So, there is no need for IV antibiotics at this time, I can actually have some sort of Thanksgiving with friends, we will just watch this very closely. Phew! No particular MCTD symptoms now, thank God, either.
