just started cyclophosphimide......so far so good, no side effects yet!

Hi friends. I am on day 9 of Humira. Not many changes, not giving up and hoping for the best. Too bad I could not take the Methotrexate with it, my chances of improvement would be much higher. Dealing with the facts of this disease.It's only been 4 months since the diagnosis, yet almost 3 years of dealing and getting to the diagnosis. This is tough. Finding the right meds are difficult, for me anyways. Waiting for another snow and ice storm to hit in the morning. Cant wait for spring! Have a great week everyone. Numby

Hi ALL! I am freezin my effin arse off with this -38 weather today...but thankful that the winds have let up a wee bit...I have to venture out to get a few errands done today and in order to get things done I will have to bundle up like an eskimo...I absolutely detest this figid weather so I wish for a warm up soon...my doctors appointment that was supposed to be today has been pushed till next week but I took my last plaquenil pill yesterday...so I hope that I dont have any setbacks or flares...was on the plaquenil for 6 months todate but I suspect that from what everyone has told me on here that I could likely be taking it for a long time (undertermined)...well if that is the case then why did my Rheumy only give me a 3 month RX and tell me to make an appointment with him in 6 months (I dont see him till march) then when I saw my regular doc in november she said that I would likely be on plaquenil long term so why didnt she give me a new RX...and to top it off she pushed my appointment till next week knowing that (because I told her that I would be out of the RX by the time I got in to see her) ....frustrated by all this lack of medical consistancy and feeling like my health really doesnt concern them at all....GRRRRR

Hi all, numby i hope you notice improvements soon....donna....i hope things warm up for you soon and the doctors get their act together....
I have had a week of mainly sleeping and feeling feverish and just plain rubbish. My doctor has made an appointment for me to see a rheumatologst next tuesday...so hopefully after years of being treated by an immunologist who didnt really know what he was doing....i am hoping to get a doctor who MIGHT help a bit......i cant believe of all the doctors ive seen here none of them picked up or mentioned the high rhuematoid factor in my blood.......and no one has treated me for it......if it wasnt for me being pro active and seeing a doctor in London i would probably have never been treated.
Enough moaning now......

Hello everyone. Freezin cold here too!!!! Glad your seeing a rhuemy jacquiline. Good luck Bruno with your new med. You too with the Humira Numby. B Girl why don't you phone rhuemy for repeats? I guess they are keeping me on prednisone for a while longer. Pains been coming back this past week. Hope it don't stay was beginning to joy life with less pain. hugs marilyn
