Well, it is 3 AM and here I am. Woke up choking. Reflux. The thanks I get for eating chocolate at bedtime. The girls and I watched one of my favorite TV shows- Naruto. We were celebrating a good day. Probably wont be able to sing in church tomorrow (today?). I reflux and aspirate at night sometimes. Bad for the vocal chords and the esophagus. Took some Carafate.
Read and thought about Christines story. I think I just gave up a spoon when I ate the chocolate. Think I will try to go back to bed and prop up on pillows. Should prop my bed but it is a King and so hard to do.
Did also read the rest of yesterdays entries. I really appreciate everyones thoughts, problems, solutions, how your day goes, ect. I learn that I am not so alone in this. Life goes on. Houses get fixed, kids go to school, people LIVE with pain or in spite of it, go to jobs, exercise, get boyfriends and break up.... Life goes on. And I have someone to talk to at 3AM!!!!

Good morning MT hope you got some sleep I use to have acid reflux really bad but that has been alot better since I was put on cpap a year ago. Now they are saying acid reduction meds on daly px can cause bone damage. I have taken vinegar or baking soda that helped before. I have decided to try to make the best out of everyday Keep on Trukin as we use to say in the 70s lol. It is hard to stay on track with my husband home on the weekends he is a big guy and likes his meat and potatoes. Ha I make coliflower taste like mashed potatoes he may never find out. Thanks all of you for your thoughts it really helps just to tell someone else and you listen. Have a great uplifting day. Jamie

Good Morning mary ann. Oh I used to have that acid reflux bad. No fun at all!! Propping up the bed is no fun either. Keeps one climbing uphill all night. lol. You take care and hope you got some sleep. Hi Jamie.I love mashed potatoes so would love your caulfower too. lol.yeah we have to keep on truckin don't we. Feel better guys. I am not too bad this morning. The hydro is about to go out from 5-9 or later and its hot and humid here. Not going to be a nice day. Got my thermous of tea made up. Hi MT, yes, the acid reflux is no fun. That was my second prescription...first the plaquenil and then prilosec for the acid reflux. My wife has been using it for a couple of years--you can also get it over the counter. 1 pill 30 minutes before breakfast. It helps me most of the day, the doctor said after I have been on it a while, it should last all 24. My wife swears by it. By the way, am I alone in having shakes? I have noticed that when I am just sitting my legs start to shake. Occasionally, my hands do as well. I kind of laugh because the shaking doesn't hurt. It has been going on for about a year now and I was just wondering if it is possibly related to MCTD or something else?

Started taking Prilosec about 13 years ago. I think my pregnancies messed up the spincter to my stomach. When all this health stuff came up and I started on Plaquenil, ect, the rheumy said Prilosec wouldnt cut it. So I went on Nexium. Got uncontrolled head aches for 6 mo. One every day soon after I took that purple pill. So went on Prevacid. Good drug. But, I have had nausea all day. Guess last nights trouble was a bug.
All the diet advice sound interesting. Maybe I will give it a whirl. Could stand to lose a FEW pounds! My husband is a meat hound. I could skip it most days.
Odd Man- Steroids give me the shakes. Sometimes my legs shake too, but the steroids give me hand tremors. Could that be your problem?
