I very happy to report that I'm feeling much better. Still not able to do very much but I did make my own lunch today! Small victories, but it feels really good not to need my mum for everything!
I read through my "rant" post and your replies again earlier - thank you all for your support/understanding. It really did help :)
I hope everyone has a happy day!
Well, here goes another week! To all of you who have children starting school today (too weird!) good luck and I hope all goes well.
Mary Ann - I hope your energy level picks up as the day goes on. May your kids get great teachers, they can make such a difference in their young lives!
Chloe - I can't tell you how pleased I am that you are feeling better...I gorgeous young girl like you should not be stuck with any limitations or have any reason to feel down...I wish that for you with all my heart!
Marilyn - I hope your weekend improved somewhat and that the heat wasn't too much to bear...can't live with the heat, can't live without it!
Nikkie (Oddman) - Close to normal...WOW. That's what we are all aiming for. It'S wonderful that you able to pick up some of your pre-dx workout activities. Be good to yourself though and listen to your body. I hope to start with some very light exercise soon. I have been walking around the block almost daily. I also walk in the local mall, for the exercise, of course!!! OK, I shop while I walk...I sound like the guy who say he subcribes to Playboy to the insightful article LOL!
Snap - 95 degrees in the desert! Hope your joints adapted!
Matt(Catalyzt) - I sent in your nomination. Did you get a copy? I received a from e-mail reply but I will stay on it and I hope they respond soon.
JM - Hope your day turns into a very fast, can move, can think, not hurtin' kinda day!! You certainly deserve one!
Polar Bear - I'm really concerned about you lately. Sounds like you've hit a rut that you can't seem to overcome. You will...believe me. Sorry you had to miss your reunion but I'll bet you can get hold of one of the organisers and obtain some of your classmates' e-mail addresses. Then you can chat with them without having to shop for a new dress!!
Momzor - I hope you are feeling w-e-double hockey sticks today!! Glad to hear your dad is doing better. Hugs and kisses to you too! (I love cheese!)
To all our other DS friends...a hug and a prayer!
Jose
Feeling great...took yesteray off from exercise...tried Josee's mall therapy...hmmm...oddly enough, my daughter ended up with half of her school wardrobe...LOL!
Planning on doing the ellip today...going for an hour! Wish me luck. I have been feeling so good with the new inhalers, my stamina is amazing now. So, have a wonderful day and...chloe...rant all you want...have you read my latest journal entry??? Good lord, I was possessed!!!
Be well all:)
Chloe, glad you are feeling better. Just to set the record straight--worknprogress is Nickie, Oddmanout's name (that is me)is Greg. Good luck to those starting School. My son starts in early September, but my Daughter (who is a math teacher) will start her class at the end of the week (this is her first year teaching, hope it goes well.) Seems early to me too.
Have a great day to all.
Hope everyone is having a good day. Things are fine here --kids are gearing up for tomorrow - they will find out who their teachers are and are hoping to see familiar friends on their class lists -- they are excited! I am gearing up to keep up with school/homework/activities, etc!! Summer has been nice to be able to move a little slower. I have a rheumatologist appt. today - hopeful that all goes well. I'm curious what will be next for me since I had a strange reaction to the plaquenil.
MT- hope the kids were happy to get back to school and all goes smoothly. Sounds like you had fun last night!
I haven't posted since Josee nominated Matt for our community leader -- I think it's a great idea!
Matt, I think you are perfect for the position! I was happy to hear about it. Also cool to hear that Z is a bichon! Sounds like he is a great companion. We are loving our new dog!! His name is "Freddie". He came from a rescue organization, so there's always a little concern that they may have some issues, but so far, he has been terrific. Staying close and cuddly with everyone at times, but really fun and playful as well. I had read good things about the breed, but so far he has defnitely exceeded my expectations - thought the first week could be tough. By the way, you mentioned NYC in one of your recent posts - do you spend time there?
Josee - you sound great! I am so glad you are feeling good! I like your exercise idea - I think I'll change up my walking routine a little this week and do a day at the mall! :)
Chloe -- I was excited to hear that you are feeling a bit better -- lunch is good! -- little by little hopefully you will be feeling more like yourself. You have been on my mind.
Nickie - your posts have been inspiring me!! I love your positive attitude and sound strong and motivated!! (All things I need a little push on at times these days). Good luck on the elip today - 1 hr??!!! WOW!
Polar Bear - sorry to hear you didn't make it to the reunion - hope you are feeling a bit better and sending wishes for a good day.....
Momzor -- glad to hear your dad is feeling better. How is it going with the new med?
And to all friends - hope everyone is doing ok and and feeling good day. I think of you all often and am so grateful I found this site and great group of people. Honestly, when I am counting my blessings, I count this group!
Help01 - thanks for your concern about the reunion and good wishes. I really appreciate it.
Hello to everyone else, I'll have to address each of you when I'm feeling better. :0)
