Well, today I have the pleasure of adding one more to the list of ways MCTD can use our bodies to torment us. This is caused by some kind of build up of hard tissue in the penis causing painfull erections and disfigurement. Some men get it as a result of injury.
In my case it kind of snuck up on me. With all the chronic pain I have and all the ways the nerves move it about my body, a painfull errection did not cause me any concern. Like getting burned by my motorcycle exhaust pipe while pumping gas. I'm used to unwarranted burning pain and did not discover till later that the pain was a result of an actual burn. My brain has desensitized me to it and somehow knowing the pain is without injury I fail to respond to it anymore. Causing burns to be worse than they should have been.
So being bed ridden, broke, miserable, and depressed, I don't have cause for many erections any more. so I've gone for a few month with this pain until this week end I notice a large hard mass in the top of my penis at the base. Like the tissue was starting to get as hard as wood. Pun intended. (Had the dr and nurse both in stiches today with that one.)
The hardness is the size of my flaccid penis. So being hard it does not swell with an erection. It acts as a tourniquet or collar and that is what causes the pain. It makes it look as if my erect penis has a neck. It no longer curves up and to the left but now points straight out. So my disfigurement isn't so bad so far. With all the different shapes and sizes, I doubt a future sexual partner would even notice. Lucky so far. But then again, I don't look at my penis that closely when having sex and she usually does.
So heads up men. Painfull erection, check it out, but don't freak out. No one going to need to cut it off. Besides, no matter what, I'll be buried with mine intact. Disfigured or not.

The surgeon is for an issue with my ileostomy that is going to become severe if not taken care of. it seems that after years and years a stoma slowly closes like the skin is trying to close the hole.
The doctor said a urologist have a few treatments for Peyronies disease. some as simple as injections. Other treatments involve surgery. ill just throw that at the surgeon when I meet him/her about the stoma issue.
