I get the same shoulder/upper chest pain. I have been given Nitro tabs, cardio says it is Angina. I was also told if no relief after taking 3, that I should call 911. My shoulder pain is worse when I am laying down. But so far the nitro has helped.
I also saw your other post, about the polyps. I too had the dreaded test and they found lots of polyps. I was told they were fine, but do people with MCTD get polyps. I was told that I will have to have another one next year.

Then the Rheumy says well this doesnt have anything to do with the disease...Really afte hearing ll of yall i beg to differ. I am a medical Asst and have been in the meical field for 20+ yrs and The Dr I work for I tell him all the tie they are PRACTIcing medicine on me...LOL
I feel horrible for my husband also I dont even like telling him when somthing is wrong anymore I even drove myself to the ER one...I know its horrible lets al stick together.. Prayer gets me through or i prob would have lost it along time ago
My mind always goes to the worst case scenario....maybe I have a little hypochondriac in me....LOL
I have found that humour is the only thing that has gotten me through.....usually the darker the better......I must laugh through the pain, that is my therapy!
And I sleep whenever I need too.....not necessarily when Im supposed too.
