Since my remission ended, I started taking gabapentin (300 mg) again to deal with the pains and tingling, especially in my legs. Well, I've taken maybe a total of 5 of these things over the course of 3 days, and I just collapsed outside my house! My legs bent down on themselves and I had to be carried into the house. My legs feel really strange and tingly, and very heavy.

Has anyone else out there experienced this reaction to gabapentin? I don't know what to think! I obviously will not take any more!!

Turns out its ataxia--a side effect of gabapentin because I took too much too fast. Makes your legs feel all rubbery and your legs tingle like crazy. I was told to cut back the dosage for now until my body adjusts to it. I learn something new every day.

I haven't take any more gabapentin in 24 hours and my legs still feel very bad and want to buckle at random moments. Got to call the neurologist first thing Monday morning. This is not fun.

Hello Buffy,
I am allergic to gabapentin; after one dose, I broke out with a severe rash. It may just take some time to get out of your system; I hope that you are better today.
