Hello everyone,
At my rheumy appointment last week, she asked me if I had heard of Dr. Peterson and I said definitely and that I was going to ask her about Whittemore-Peterson and if she had heard of the XMRV retrovirus discovery. She said she had and wanted to know if I would be interested in going to Dr. Peterson, especially in light of the discovery of the virus.
I said that would be great. So she is referring me to him. She said they would start by copying my file(s) and sending them to him. I haven't heard anything yet, but it has only been a week.
I have mixed feelings about going to see him, mainly guardedly excited. I guess I don't want to get my hopes up too high. Who knows? Maybe I'll get to be involved in their studies?
What do you think? Do any of you know Dr. Peterson or have you heard of anyone who has gone to him and what their experience has been?

Glad to hear someone is getting goodnew and from what I have just read this seems like a good oppinutunity for you.
