I do take it daily! Just 2mg of medrol.
I remember starting on it, 8mg daily. Never wanted to stop! Energy, no pain!
Took a dosepakc last winter. Those really high doses dont feel as good. When I got down to12mg daily, I felt good.

I'm just getting off it, I was taking 20mg a day for the last 8 months and I hated it. Put on 25lbs and have been miserable. i am down to 12.5 mg now and i feel great and can't wait to get off it completely. I haven't lost any weight yet but i feel less bloated and more alive.
I know it works differently for everyone but i hated it. I'm glad it makes you feel better

I'm with you, I LUV THE STUFF! It is the only thing that makes me feel human. Yes....I am a bit cranky but damn I feel good. Just have to try and counter act the bad side effects, lots of calcium and vit D. I really cant function on it and the non sterodial immune suppressant I took - Imuran - Methotrexate - I ended up with meningitis. Sad but prednisone is my drug of choice. I had to laugh at whoever said they were not into meds but found themselves now sitting on Sunday night filling up their little daily containers - yep I can relate....JUNKIES. Not by choice but by need. It is sad but sorry....funny!

Cranky is right .I get myself in trouble every flare .Say something wrong to my daughter in law hahaha ,Its like having super PMS but my house is clean ,because I can ,I have the energy !!! Why cant my family get it "Im sick " I try to do my best to keep life going on as normal but Geez ..

I havn't been on 30mg for years, but i still remember how clean my house was.....i would even clean all through the night if i couldn't sleep.....ii did get a shock though when i seen myself on a photograph......pity they can't make something that gives the energy and sense of well being without all the side effects. When i am on 10mg, i get the perfect body (i m usually underweight)
Does anyone hae problems eating when going through a flare...i have had almost no appetite for the past 4 weeks. I see my doctor again next wek and hoping he will suggest something.

I am on 10 mg a day and don't have the weight gain issues in fact I keep losing weight. Since being diagnosed last year I have dropped 20 pounds.

I will gladly give each of you 10 or 20 pounds. Have gained 35 pounds since I started on the DRUGS.

I agree Prednisone is the only thing that really works in a flare . My rummey said most true MCTD patients never really get off. I keep trying to prove her wrong but.....still on 5mg a day dont see it going any lower. I wish i had some of this energy you guys are talking about????

Yeah I felt great for the first three weeks then started having nasty sideffects. I am so glad to be off of it now. I am sufferring a lot with out it but am not to take it again. Yes jacqueline I have problems with nausea when in flare too. ( Which seems klike permanent now. lol)
