Okay, this is a new thing. From nowhere I suddenly feel like a red hot stove element: I can feel the heat radiating from me in waves, sweat pouring down my face, down my back, down everywhere. Then, it passes just as quickly, and my teeth chatter with cold. This started a couple of weeks ago, and happens at least once daily.

Is anyone having this besides me?

I started with that during menopause. 20 years later and I still have them 1-2 times a day. The Dr said it could be the steroids. Dont know if you are on those or not but it could also be a low grade infection your body is trying to fight off. If this keeps up, I would call the Dr. Good luck.

Many of the Meds they use for this condition will cause that. One Prednisone has caused me to turn the thermostat to 74 degrees, strip down to my underwire point a fan at me on high and keep a towel around my neck to soak up the sweat pouring out of my body. No exaggeration.

Now that I've run out of money and no insurance I can't afford treatment so I take no medications for MCTD and I still have hot flashes. And cold. Not as bad as I've described. So I would say it's normal.
