Hi everybody. So here's a little background. When I was 16 I was diagnosed with something called ehlers danlos syndrome. Had quite a few dislocations of my knees and shoulders. Chronic pain was pretty typical. The past year or so other things started to happen that mostly I attributed to my eds. Stomach pains and the constant pins in needles feeling in my hands and feet and freezing feet and hands even my nose. I get random raised rashes from time to time and had some random rib pains over the last year and then started to get short of breath very easy and pounding fast hb just from a small walk or going up small flight of stairs. Then over the past 6 months or so been having more and more pain and morning stiffness and swelling esp in hands and fingers and elbows (all new and not something I typically have with eds) my knees got stiffer and more painful. More pain along my spine upper spine almost like it burns outwards which isn't typical. Normally I have lower back pain. So I saw my Dr and he ran a ton of tests and the thing came back positive of anti u1rnp 4.4 2 are still pending. My Dr said I had mctd and sent me to a rheumatologist. Saw him today he said that my ana was negative and that means that I'm probably fine. I'm confused though does anyone know why my u1rnp would be positive then? Has anyone had a negative ana and still had some sort of auto immune disorder? Should I get a second opinion or just let it go and stop worrying?
