Chronic Sinus Infections.....

I tend to get chronic sinus infections. I got the flu in January, which resulted in a sinus infection/double ear infection in February. That didn't resolve and resulted in Pneumonia in March. Needless to day, my flares have been RIDICULOUS these past 3ish months. I went to the Dr yesterday and I STILL have the sinus infection. I am going to an ENT tomorrow to see if there is a reason I get these and they won't clear up.

My question is, is this a common thing with any of you? Or is this some other issue I am having? I know everyone has different symptoms... I am still discovering new ones all the time.

Last 2 times I got the flu, I got bronchitis, sinus infections, and urinary tract infections and was sick for a couple of months. I take a flu shot. It is not a perfect preventor, but helps.

Oh, I dont get a lot of sinus infections, but do get chronic urinary tract infections.

I used to get sinusitis all the time until I started using a neti pot. I don't get them anymore. I had 2 head colds this winter and they were both mild.

when I had chronic sinus infection I wound up on antibiotics for three months and that took care of it. I now have one as I have just recovered from bronchitis. Hoping it will resolve itself. I also have recurring diverticulits infections. So need a lot of antibioitcs at times. I get infections a lot and know it is the lack of immune system.

I would suggest that once you are done the antibiotics that you start taking some probiotics to replace the good healthy gut bacteria that you need.

good luck and I hope the antibiotics clear out the sinus infection for you.
