Hello,

Has anyone experienced a bruise that will not go away? I have one on my left cheek about the size of a dime that has been hanging around for over a year at the very least - maybe longer. I had fallen down our stairs. I was not on Prednisone at the time.

I was on Prednisone about 6 months ago for 4 weeks.

I do bruise easily, but eventually, they go away.

Any input would be great!

it's not the same thing but I have marks from bug bites that never seem to go awayI have one on my shoulder from last summer. My thought was it was hyper pigmentation, that's just a guess on my part.

I have a bruise from a sinus surgery under my eye. I was told it is nothing, just a blood vessel which was damaged during the surgery.
Have you gone to a dermatologist?

Hi,

I have not seen a dermatologist lately. I see my neurologist on Dec. 16, and He will check my bruise under my left eye from a fall and concussion. I can mention the other bruise to him.

I have a some bruises also that won't go away. The rheumy told me that just happens when you get older...

Are you on baby asprin or anything like that ??Motrin ?? I was having alot of bruising and noes bleeds until i went off a baby aspirin. I also get a blue "mottling" or bruising look on my thighs which gets worse in the sun?? How are your Platelets I have very high count but my rheumy said something to the effect that they are abnormal because of the meds?? Hope you figure it out good luck --Michelle
