Good morning! Sooo sleepy this morning. Might break down and have some coffee WITH caffeine! I ran out of Allegra with no refill and so started Zyrtec. It works on my allergies better than the Allegra- think I took it for too long- But the Zyrtec makes me so sleepy! Dont need the clonazepam, thats for sure! Hope I can stay awake at work.
Oh, the police caught our thief. He has been identified and is a repeat offender of course. Also, an interesting day in the schools around here. A murder in Knoxville has everyone on edge. They had a fire drill at the High School my kids go to. Think it was a way to break up the day and maybe check the school. Bet a lock down is on the way. My daughter is teaching at an elementary school not far from the shooting . Havent talked to her yet, but I bet they were in lock down all morning yesterday. Wish we could teach these kids that killing somebody is not the answer. But then, all my old man cardiac patients had their guns the other day. "Teach your children well".

Having a wonderful day so far. Only pain I have is the one in my butt called hubby...lol...just kidding:) But seriously, I have a stupid shin splint that is not doing too well. It's been about 2 weeks now. I have an icy hot sleeve on my whole shin/calf today, in the hopes that it will calm down. Called rheumy for an rx for ibuprofen 800. Why waste the money on the otc when I can get the big dogs? Anyway...not too much to report. Daughter ends camp today, starts school on Tues. Need to clean my house this weekend. Oh, asthma actully acted up last night during raquetball. I forgot to use my inhaler before...I can assure you, i'll never do that again. Nothing scarier than wheezing in the middle of a match!!! And the not being able to catch my breath thing didn't thrill me any either:)
So, as usual, you're all in my thoughts and prayers. And have a pain free day:)

MT, I can't remember whether I said this or not, (can we say brain fog anyone?) but I completely understand the impulse to bring a gun to the hospital-- you feel so helpless. I mean, I can understand THINKING about it, but not actually DOING it.
At the Playhouse in Tennesee, we also used real guns in the musical-- a Smith and Wesson .22s. I told the director, "That's the nicest revolver I've ever seen, but this just seems incredibly stupid." They were also using blanks with wax wadding, and I believe I mentioned that I thought that was incredibly stupid as well. Sure enough, the lead character got shot in the hand. Turned out to be not a big deal, patched him up during intermission, total flesh wound.
Hope they catch the murderer. Maybe he can share a cell with our arsonist in a federal pen!
