Hi everyone, I am a new for this forum . I woul like to learn from everyone.

I have been diagnosed MCTD last May. I have got pain left hand, dry eyes , mouth , sore throat , tingling togue, white mucuss on the togue. Stuffed nose , allergic rhinitis, reflux, lost appetite and lost a lot weight. Very bad insomia , stress etc.

I am on plaquenil 200/300 alterntive and pred 5mg daily. Hand joints pain been improved a lot . But throat , stuffed nose and insomia still very bad.

Is anyone haved had some experience like this and how did you cope. Any advise or share experience will be appreciated.

I also have gastrointestinal involvement in scleroderma with reflux and what helped me was changing the diet to paleo autoimmune, it is quite radical, but eliminating gluten suger and milk makes a very big difference.

Thank you very much for share your experiences .I will look at this . I have been eliminated gluten, surger,milk and chocolate.
The bad lack is i am allergic or intolerance of some meet ,veges.but couldn't work out. I am on eliminating track. Hopefully I can get some answers.

I think some of us are prone to allergies. After all, allergies are the immune system over reacting to a substance just as MCTD is your immune system attacking parts of you own body. You might try some over the counter allergy pills such as generic Zyrtec or Claratin. The generic is so much cheaper! I also ended up taking a sleeping pill for awhile which was a God send. Good luck.

I was not sleeping very well and started diffusing lavender oil and seem to sleep like a baby. Also eliminated gluten and most dairy has helped with bloating and reflux. Overall I have been exercising almost everyday and all around feel like I am feeling the best I have felt since being diagnosed. Oh, and I have also been experiencing sinus issues since August. I take generic Claritin and Flonase per several doctors recommendations. also occasionally just recently with weather changes I have used Benadryl occasionally at night time.

Thanks for all your sharing your experiences . I have been use lavender tea while , it's helping but only keep sleeping 4 or 5 hours. Maybe i will try lavender oil diffusing.
For the allergy nose i have been use antihistamine but it make my mouth and eyes more dry. Its hard to make balance.
