A New Flare

After a few short days of feeling better, I am getting sick again. I am trying so hard to figure out what causes the flares. I went for a walk Monday in the sun. I didn't get a rash but the pain in my back has returned and so has my fever. I seem to feel better when I am out of town, but that may just be a coincidence. It kind of makes me suspect my memory foam mattress though. I also have a lap band that could be the cause, I really don't know. Please share you experiences and opinions with me. Thanks so much as always for sharing your knowledge.

I agree with Mary Ann.......the sun doesn't bother me too much. I have a lot of reactions to cold damp weather and whenever the weather changes drastically.

I find the sun (and especially the store UV lights) worsens my symptoms for a day or so when I get too much of it. I try and be pro-active and sunscreen myself before going out or grocery shopping but sometimes it still gets me! Good luck! I hope you find what the cause is :)

Definitely could be the sun. SOme people have problems with it, I personally feel better when I get some sun, but my rheumy tells me to stay out of the sun. Could be your bed too! If I sleep in a bed that is too hard or too soft, I have back pain and feel like crap for days!

Thanks to all for the responses. When the sun makes you sick, is it right away or is there a delay between exposure and symptoms?

Usually it is within the first 24 hours in my experience.

i was actually goig to ask about the sun myself.... My rhuemy told me that i can get in the sun but need to wear big time sunsreen, but What I am discovering is that when im in the sun I start to feel like chest pain headache, alost like a heat sroke..... no fever or rash which is what I was told i would do but more like heat stroke/ heart attack sx's
Very scary. I went to my daighters 8th grade retreat and made sure i stood in the shade but its like the heat gets me. Started havig severe chest pain , sob, and hurt to breath.
