My family caught the flu, strep throat and my wife had a sinus infection. I was sure I was going down, but I didn't. Im currently taking 7.5 mg Prednisone, 20mg mexthotextrate and was supposed to take humara weekly. due to miscommunications , insurance problems I hadent had humara in over a month. finally got into the doctor where i start complaining how bad the pain has been, difficulty walking, twisting anything. He replies but your numbers are looking alot better. Sed rate is down to 25. He loves to talk about sed rate solely. tells me to start attempting to quit the prednisone, start taking the humara weekly and hopefully this will continue.
Well heck, im hurting like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs @ a knitting convention. I have no idea what he thinks is going on but its worse and hes happy. Maybe he thinks my lungs are safer. Maybe he got visited by the 3 ghost of mctd past and thinks everyone will be ok now like tiny tim. This guy wears a bow tie and sports a cow lick like its a crown. Help

When we talked, it was if he wasn't hearing me at all. SO, I wonder if you doctor has the same symptoms: My-wife-is-dealing-with-pain-and-I'm-not-really-here Syndrome.
However, I have found the medical community, in general, to be quite ineffective. I have gone to 8 doctors over the course of 19 months and none of them believed me at all.
My advise: Go back. State your issue/s loud and clear and if he still doesn't get it - find a new one.
