Don't listen to a doctor that doesn't validate what you are feeling. You know something is wrong, you have to be your own advocate. I had a doctor that dismissed my first symptoms and said it was nothing.....I knew that something wasn't right and kept pursuing it, I wish I would have pushed harder in the beginning, maybe the scarring in my lungs would not have progressed as far as it has.

Good luck at the Mayo Clinic, they are one of the best.

I have fired so many doctors who weren't willing to help. We are all crazy but we know what we feel. When i read what you posted i could read through what you were saying and determine this. (1. She never read your file before she entered the room.)(2. She is one of the doctors who doesn't like to have to deal with the adversity of MCTD)(3. AT least you learned early)
I wouldn't give her another copay. MCTD has defined blood markers. They can't deny it. Get all your records together and if you have to highlight it for your next doctor do it.

I think were all excited for you. if you keep a personal pain journal, bring it, even condense it some if you can, sighting types of pain or types of events and there duration on a regular basis. The disease may not actually have a cure, but what we really want is to fix the things that bother us most. I have had decent blood work and still had pain and if they know your personal pain profile it may help. I am sure you know all this but maybe someone who reads it will try it.
