It's not easy to kick the habit, but together we can.
dont get me wrong hun im very hapy it works for you and thousand's of others but if your like me where is a program that works ?
Ive done it out of sheer determanation, never having said a prayer in my life.
I would go along to meetings but the religiose aspect of it turns me right off. i would be fighting the program all the way beleaving i was being preached too
My point is you dont need to have faith or beleave in a higher power to sort out your own life and the choices you make.Ive managed to give the pot away and have no desire to go back to a habit of 22 years that caused me more harm than good.
But like i said i wish you all the best and im very happy you have found somthing that works for you :)
Good job hun

You're not alone. I am trying to pass on what works for me and others I know who are sober potheads. This forum doesn't seem to pay much attention to people in recovery in meetings and working steps and it is a way addicts get recovery.
Thanks for your blessings and same to you.
I can understand that the aa and na groups were founded in a religiouse back ground so you have to expect the steps to be based upon some one haveing faith.
A good friend of mine has pointed me in the direction of freethinkers AA. wich i personaly find a lot more helpful in my situation.
Isnt it great that we can all come together from different back grounds and belifes and still be able to help each other out.
take care hun and keep up the good work :)
im positive your posts are very helpful to alot of people on here.
