I got in the mail today a list of five sanctions due to me being caught on surveillance video stealing a girl's purse. I was required to meet with the dean of students and we both agreed to this substance abuse evaluation. The part that scares me is even if the evaluator doesn't recommend treatment then my dean could require treatment anyways. In some ways my dean is perhaps doing me a favor even though I feel a year on disciplinary probation status with the college is enough. I am scared about the recommendations made by the substance abuse professionals. I take Klonopin for anxiety and I really don't see where that alone makes me at a higher risk of abusing substances. Like my pastor told me once, If your body needs the medicine, then that is not an addiction. On the other hand, I define addiction as somebody that abuses substances everyday and all day. In what situations would my definition be faulty. I hardly consider smoking four grams of marijuana a month an addiction. However, it has put me in the hospital on far less than that also. Addiction is difficult to determine in my opinion.
As for my Legaquin psychotic break, what happened is that I was put on it, for a possible severe colonn infection. Within hours, I started here people laugh and sing. I started laughing controllably, sang with them. My neighbors became very concerned, since I never laugh, or even smile. I could not stop laughing, and forgot to take my meds, like Xanax. So, at day four, my neighbor called my doctor, and said that something was wrong with me, I would not stop laughing and singing. I kid you not. I was taken to the doctor, who ordered a brain CT and told me to quit taking the Levaquin. She also piss tested me, and FORTUNATELY I was clean, a real rarity. Thank the lord.
Actually, it occurs to me that my hallucinations came from all the blood in my THC. Who knows. True story. I also fell, running to find the lauging singing folks, and busted my knee. Could have killed myself, I was so very happy and filled with love.
Not me, definitely not me, ask anyone. I miss that time.
